Our meeting was short and sweet. Xavier and Jayden were in attendance and were introduced to the upcoming changes being made to the Cub Scout program. The Cub Scout oath is going away, the belt loop and pin program, and the immediate recognition awards as well. There will be more physical requirements to earn achievements. Most of these changes will be in place by 2015, but the Webelos will be changing over to the Boy Scout Law and oath immediately. I have print outs of the Scout law and oath for all of you. I believe that learning the new Law and Oath will make for a easier transition to Troop.
We will go camping this year. Perhaps end of summer or early fall. All of us will have to get together and plan this out. Our Den Chief, Connor Phillips, teach the boys how to plan a camp out.
I am going to try to plan another meeting. I will contact all of you through Scout Lander with a date and time.
