1721 Lions Pride!

WHAT IS THE 1721 LIONS PRIDE?!?!

What is a Lion?
The Lion Program, like all of Scouting's programs, weaves the concepts of character development, leadership skills, personal fitness, and citizenship into activities that are age appropriate and fun. "Adventures (themed sets of activities and experiences)  will assist the Lion families in exploring the world around them.
What will the experience be like?
As they complete the requirements for each Adventure, Lions will earn an Adventure sticker or patch (but not adventure belt loops) as they will do in Cub Scouting. Moreover, Lions will be led by parents filling the role of the Lion Guides and will meet as a Den every other week.  Our Lions Proudly wear our 1721 Class B T shirt as their primary uniform and when they transition into the Tiger rank, they will then begin to wear the official Class A Cub Scout Uniform.
How are the Lions involved with Cub Scouts?
The Lions at 1721 participate in their Den meeting which will occur every other week.  Once a month, the Pack meets as a group either at our Charter for a formal Pack meeting or on a fun outing. The Lion den will also participate in a Den field trip or experience each month which ties into the Adventure them they are working on.
Will my son be bored?
Not at all.  Meaningful, fun and planned activities are the name of this game. There is something here for everyone to enjoy and when they graduate into Tigers, even more fun and adventures await.
