2012 Scout Fair

This year the Scout Fair was attended by more than 20,000 scouts registered in the Sam Houston Area Council (SHAC).

Pack 866 built several marshmallow catapults. Scouts were able to shoot large marshmallows at our Den volunteers.

2012 Spring Campout

As always, we had a great time at our spring campout. The Birch Creek State Park at Somerville is a beautiful park with nice amenities and secluded campsites.

Our Webelos did an awesome job preparing the Saturday Dinner!

2012 Scouting for Food

Pack 866 conducted its 2012 Scouting for Food drive in the Willowbridge & Stonebridge neighborhoods last Saturday March 3, 2012.

We contributed 2,052 pounds of food to Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM). Because the contribution was made during the months of March/April, it also qualifies for a match from the Feinstein Matching Program (Foundation). So the drive will yield 4,104 pounds of food for NAM!

Way to go Scouts!

2012 Blue and Gold Banquet

This year, our Blue & Gold Banquest was held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Cook Middle School cafeteria. Karen Lade put together an awesome banquet. The theme was tied to our military servicemen and women. Each rank had a different branch of our armed services.

Scout activities included an obstacle course, target practice with marshmallow guns, etc.

2012 Pinewood Derby

As always, the Pinewood Derby was a smashing success. This is likely the most exciting event of the year for the scouts.

Trophies were awarded to:
