Court of Honor – Ethnic Potluck

The Spring Court of Honor will be held April 6th during troop meeting time.  This is traditionally our ethnic potluck.  Each family is to bring a main dish that is traditional food for the scout’s ethnic heritage.  The Scout is to help prepare the dish and will be asked to share about how the dish fits his heritage.  At this event, any Scout who earned rank since last court of honor will be acknowledged and will present his parent with his/her rank pin.  All merit badges and participation patches earned since last court of honor will be handed out as well.

6th Annual Pro-Scout Bass Fishing Tournament

The 6th Annual Pro-Scout Bass Tournament will be held the weekend of April 24th – 26th at Galesville Reservoir.  This is a 100% fundraiser for Scouts as the troop asks that each parent try to acquire donations to cover the costs associated with running the tournament and boys to get pledges similar to a jog-o-thon.  For those scouts over 14 years old, a current fishing license is required

Summer Camp 2009

This year the troop will be attending summer camp at Camp Makualla, located in the Bend area.  The Troop will leave on Sunday, July 26th and return on Saturday, August 1st.  The Troop has made  $100 deposit to guarantee the spot. The cost per scout is $230 plus a $10 camp shirt fee and $8 to cover lunch on the trip home.  Each scout must pay a deposit of $60 of the fees by April 15th with the complete balance due by June 1st, 2009.  Camperships applications are available for those in need of additional assistance.  Please inquire with Carla Carter.  Camperships are granted on a first come, first served basis.  Submission of paperwork does not guarantee approval and only covers up to 50% of the total camp fees.  The application was to be submitted prior to March 30th, 2009 but you can still turn it in.
