Cub Scouts in Pack 47 HAVE FUN!

The activities of Pack 47 are designed for the scouts and their families to have fun as they progress through the Cub Scout program together.  The activities are made to achieve the purposes of Scouting such as good citizenship, sportsmanship, physical fitness, friendly service, adventure and FUN.  Through participation in Pack 47 boys develop outdoor skill, confidence, good character, respect for others, and a feeling of personal achievement.

Many Scout activities allow the boys to try new things they may not have the opportunity to otherwise do.

A sample of our activities include:

  • The Raingutter Regatta
  • Rockland Boulders baseball game
  • Cub Scout overnight at Boulder's Stadium
  • Army football & basketball games
  • Skating at Bear Mountain
  • Visiting the Planetarium at South High School
  • Physical fitness night
  • Bingo night
  • Movie under the stars
  • Pine Wood Derby
  • Overnight at The Museum of Natural History

What does it mean to be a parent of a Cub Scout:

The Cub Scout program is designed for scouts to work toward completing achievements with the Pack, Den and at home with their family.  In addition all the leaders in the Pack and Dens are volunteers.  We hope that all families participating will offer what they can to help their Den and the Pack make Scouting the most enriching experience possible for everyone involved.
