Blue and Gold Banquet



Join us for an anniversary celebration for the Boy Scouts of America, the Blue and Gold Banquet.

Where:  St John's Church
When:  Sunday, Feb. 26 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Bridging Ceremony:  Webelos II Receive their Arrow of Light and bridge to Boy Scouts
  • Advancements for all Dens
  • Dinner Provided by Pasta Mista (Subject to change)
    • Baked Ziti and Chicken Parmigiana
    • Salad
    • Bread
    • Ice Cream Sandwich
Cost
  • Adults: $5.00
  • Children (5 -18):  $4.00
  • Children Under 5:  Free
Please notify your den leaders with a head count by Thurs. Feb. 23!








Pinewood Derby


EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Awards will be presented for the fastest time in each den and in the pack.
  • The Best Car Design Award will be awarded for the car with the most votes from their fellow scouts.
  • Intimidating car names are encouraged!!
  • This year features a Family Derby Race after the Scout derby races are complete. This is an open competition for any parent, sibling or relative that wants to make their own, NEW car and race! Pinewood Derby kits will be available for purchase from the Pack or at the Scout Shop for $6
  • All scouts and family members must have their cars pre-registered by 5:15 pm

SCHEDULE

  • Saturday Mar. 18:  Track Testing (Sat.) 6:00 pm 7:00 pm
  • Sunday Mar. 19:  Registration 4:45 pm 5:10 pm
  • Sunday Mar. 19:  Scout Racing 5:15 pm 7:00 pm

Pizza and Drinks will be Available for Purchase

 

    POLICIES Pinewood Derby ( & Family Derby)

    • A NEW car MUST be used each year. You cannot use a car from a previous year.
    • The car must use the wheels, axles and body from the BSA Derby Car Kit.
    • Overall width shall not exceed 2-3/4".
    • Overall length shall not exceed 7".
    • Finished car cannot weigh more than 5 ounces using the Pack’s digital scale.
    • The wheels may be smoothed and rounded but the overall width must remain the same.
    • The axles may be polished and lubricated but they must be the ones contained in the BSA Kit.
    • Modifications and repairs may not be made once the car has been checked in.

    Pack 340 Graduation



    Please join us for the 2016 Pack 340 Graduation

    Where:  St John's United Methodist Church
    When:  Sunday, May 21 from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

    Please join Pack 340 for the 2016 graduation event. Boys in all dens will participate in the awards ceremony, followed by refreshments.

    There is no cost for this event.

    Pack 340 Spring Family Camping



    Please join Pack 340 for the Marquee Event of the Year, Family Spring Camping at Cunningham Falls.

    Join us for a great time at the fantastic campsites at Cunningham Falls. Enjoy the nature wonder of waterfalls! This park features a 78-foot cascading waterfall, mountain streams, winding trails and a scenic lake. A 43-acre lake is located in the William Houck Area. Popular activities include swimming, boat rentals, hiking and camping.

    The Pack will be camping from Friday evening through Sunday morning but there are no required arrival or leave times.  Activities are casual, capped off with a group camp fire Saturday evening.

    Please reserve your spot by May 20!  The Pack needs to get in those reservations and we'd love for you to join us!

    Cost:  $60

    You may submit payment online. Just click on "OnlinePayments" and use the 2015 entry.


    Includes Campsite for 6 people for both nights.
