Pack 413 Uniform Information

Wearing uniforms has been a method of the Scouting movement from the beginning.

The uniform identifies a boy as a member of the Cub Scouts. Badges on the uniform tell other members that he belongs to their den, pack, and council. The uniform itself identifies a good citizen to the entire community.

The uniform displays badges and other awards so the accomplishments of each Cub Scout can be immediately recognized.

Wearing a uniform is a constant reminder to each Cub Scout of his commitment to the ideals and purposes of Cub Scouting: duty to God, loyalty to country, and helpfulness to others.

For these reasons, among others, all parents should emphasize to their Scouts the importance of wearing the correct and complete uniform on all suitable occasions.

Each scout in Pack 413 should have a full “Class A” uniform.  This uniform is worn to Den Meetings, Pack Meetings, and other Pack  activities.  The guide attached below has specific information  on uniform parts for Tigers, Wolves, Bears and
Webelos, and also includes information on patch location/placement.

The cost of uniforms can add up!  The Pack maintains a small stock of used uniform items that families have donated as their children outgrow them or graduate to the next rank.  These items are available free, please see the Pack advancement chair at a den meeting.  We encourage families to donate their uniform items when they are no longer needed.  If you are unable to provide a uniform, please contact the
Cubmaster or Committee Chairman for assistance.

Pack 413 T-Shirts & Hats

Pack 413 T-Shirts can be purchased from the Pack Advancement Chair for $10.  Pack T-Shirts can be worn at designated  outdoor activities (like campouts), or in instances when the official uniform would become dirty or damaged (like a service project).  Reminder: Pack T-Shirts are not a substitute for the official uniform.

Pack 413 hats are optional and can be worn in place of Tiger/Wolf/Bear or
Webelos hats with the official uniform.  This eliminates the need to buy a new rank hat every year!  Pack 413 hats can be purchased at Chesapeake Custom Embroidery (on Rt 235, next to CVS) for $12.  Just ask at the counter for a Pack 413 hat – you can choose from dark blue with a tan brim or dark green with a tan brim – lettering is in gold.
